Walking, walking, walking

This morning we walked 2 miles as a family to help support the Stillwater Life Services Program.

I explained to Charissa that we were walking to help babies and their mommies and daddies.  We were helping them get clothes, food, and loving support.

That made her happy.

Brandt decide since he couldn't walk, he wouldn't sleep.  So he held a two hour vigil in honor of his fellow womb-dwellers during his usual nap time.  He was quite cheerful about it, but I was doubting his strength.  He proved me wrong, just like any self-respecting man.

Charissa begged to get out of her stroller and basically ran a 1/4 of a mile in three spurts.  This gave her an opportunity to demonstrate the magnetic pull of a toddler's head to the earth's core.  It wasn't entirely pretty.

This is after one head-to-earth's-core demonstration right when I was posing for a picture.  Charissa wasn't to thrilled about posing with me, but the bagels and balloons at the end of the race cheered her up considerably!

This was a wonderful way to spend a Saturday morning.

We pray that the ministry of SLC will continue it's loving service in Jesus' name!
